There’s a Lucy athletic shirt in my closet. It’s been used a handful of times over several years and I know exactly why.
– First, because it’s a size larger than I should have bought.
But it was such a great price!
– Second, it has a peek-a-boo back. That, in combination with the size being off leads to some gaping moments.
I could wear a tank top underneath it. Or fix it up somehow.
Silly me. When will I learn? ~ Nothing. Ever. Happened.
Then my hand sewing mentor (first mentioned in this post) invited us to visit her in her second home: Ajijic, Mexico. So leave it to me to pack for an international trip with the shirt that needed tendin’ to, a few choice doilies from my Gramma’s arsenal, and the basics needed for hand sewing. Hey, that’s how I roll.
I’m happy with the result. It’s more modest and I’m much more comfortable wearing it now – no matter what’s underneath. Only cost some creative thinking and time.
Another project: complete. Ready for yoga!
